These Car Tech's May Be Possible By As Soon As 2020

When we think about cars nowadays, it's not a secret or surprise that the technologies that are involved are changing so rapidly and innovatively. Some techniques are still a while off been produced, but the ideas are there. And, there is an array of feature that is just around the corner and even starting to appear in showrooms right now. The rate at which technology is changing and manipulating our vehicles accelerates every year, which makes it an exciting time to be in the market for a car.

Partially  Autonomous Vehicle

Now a fully automated car is a ways off yet, and we will likely not see this for a time to come however this doesn't mean that we aren't stepping into the future with this, all you have to think is Tesla's Autopilot navigation system, and you'll get the idea. Car's are still going to require a look over from humans for the time being however by 2020 we'll have cars capable of being fully autonomous in certain areas possibly like simple estates and no bad weather. You have to consider having a fully automated vehicle seriously, do we want to give up our control?

Driver Override Systems

While simple to being autonomous, this technology relates t aspects such as making its own decisions and disregarding yours. Yes, we already have cars that will auto emergency stop if necessary but by 2020 vehicles will be able to have the power to apply the brakes even if you have ability to the metal. The technology aim is to give the car the ultimate decision over you. This could be handy for those unfortunate times when people lose the ability to drive for medical reasons or if you weren't paying attention.

Interactive Window Displays

So the digital displays we see in our cars nowadays have come along way since the green or orange backlit digital screens. With some vehicles having the ability (hardly) to project numbers on to the window screen. The head-up display has come along way since then. We may be expecting to see images such as satellite navigation and signals soon appearing on interactive window screens, it may not be 2020, but it sure is heading that way.

Compulsory Vehicle Tracking

We are all familiar with the new way of reducing our insurance premiums by adding tools such as the dreaded 'black box' under our vehicle. Many people, especially new drivers, have started to and continue to use these. They have the capability to record exact trips, mileage, speed and estimate fuel consumption. But not everyone has come to like them, and more experienced drivers tend to avoid them and don't like the thought, however, they are handy for the fact you can successfully track your car if it were ever to be stolen, It could be the reality that it turns compulsory, but we shall see.

Biometric Unlocking

Sound too far fetched? Well, think about the smartphone you have in your pocket. Doesn't seem so far fetched now. We have already seen key-fob-less entry and start, and the ability walks up to your car with your keys in your bag, and it still unlocks. But soon you'll be able to open and start your car without anything more than your fingerprint much like a lot of us do now with our phones. We even use our fingerprint to pay for items online, so it's not that unrealistic to expect this on cars. Maybe it will go to recognize your eyes too, possibly for starting the vehicle? Who knows!

Tailored In Car Marketing

Many of us are already getting Facebook, Twitter and Gmail ads based around our activities, so why would our cars be any different? By 2020 it may be a reality that every car is connected to the internet with not many being released without the ability. We have already seen cars with Wifi that you can connect your devices to. This makes it's a lot less surprising to think we may find personalized marketing schemes appearing in our cars. Perhaps they will be able to track us with the black box and go as far as advertising based on our current location. Handy or a little bit scary? You can decide on that one.
