Roast Rubber In This Potent 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS LS6

By Amie Williams, Motorious

Stuffed with a numbers-matching 454cui V8 that delivers a stout 450-horsepower.

Corvette Mike is pleased to announce the opportunity to drive off in this numbers-matching 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6. Stunning from the inside out, this vintage slice of American Muscle went under the knife for a meticulous frame-off restoration.

Finished in a glossy Cortez Silver with contrasting black stripes, this classic Chevelle SS shows in fantastic shape with all of its sheetmetal straight as can be. All chrome trim shines brightly and adds to that old-school muscle car curb appeal. Adding an aggressive touch to the front end is a cowl induction hood.

Delivering potent power is a numbers-matching LS6 454cui V8 engine outputting 450-horsepower and 500 ft/lb of torque. In fact, this is the highest factory-installed engine ever given to a Chevelle. An HD M22 four-speed transmission shifts power down through the 12-bolt 4:10:1 positraction rear end and to the rear wheels. Power front disc brakes bring power to a halt while an F41 suspension keeps everything handling smoothly. The addition of an HD battery keeps everything firing up effortlessly.

Open the doors to this Chevelle SS to an immaculate black interior with leather bucket seats. Other highlights include a sport steering wheel, tilt steering column, special instrumentation, and an AM push-button radio.

The sale of this car comes with extensive documentation including the original Forrest Chevrolet Cadillac Company car invoice and inspection sheet that indicates all of its options.

If you are in the market for the perfect American muscle car, then look no further than this stunning yet powerful 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6. This would make the perfect addition to any garage or collection, and it is bound to turn some heads when pulling into your local Cars & Coffee meet. Contact Corvette Mike if you don't want this beauty to slip through your fingers. The car is listed at $144,990, but feel free to make an offer.
