A review of Ducati’s 2020 V-4 powered Streetfighter S.

Pure muscle. The Streetfighter V4 S is powered by Ducati’s powerful and character-rich 1,103cc V-4. The engine is capable of delivering upwards of 180 horsepower and spins to nearly 15,000 rpm.

The S-model Streetfighter benefits from Ohlins semi-active suspension components that adjust compression and rebound damping in real-time based on vehicle control input. It also gets lighter forged alloy wheels instead of cast hoops on the standard model.

A 5-inch color TFT display keeps tabs on vehicle settings. The display could be larger and the menu system could be more intuitive. The switchgear is also sloppy when buttons are pressed with gloves.

The tactile function of the switchgear could be improved on. The buttons feel sloppy when operated with motorcycle gloves.

Heated hand grips can be added to the Streetfighter V4 S as a Ducati Performance accessory for $364.04.

The rider’s seat is taller and more well-supported than the Panigale’s saddle. Not only was it surprisingly comfortable, the seat looks nice, too.

Strange, but the Streetfighter included bi-plane-like wings that generate 60-some pounds of downforce at 167 mph. Since there is no front fairing or windscreen it would be difficult to hang out to the bike at speed.

As usual, Ducati nailed it on the Streetfighter V4’s styling. Bright LED headlamps help you stand out on the road, however we wish it incorporated cornering headlight function.

A single sided swingarm extended off the rear of the Streetfighter V4. We appreciated its above average ride quality and grip from the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires.
