The classic and collector car market is a fantastically diverse tapestry of vehicles from every breed and era. Delving into the classifieds reveals some real gems waiting to find a new home with both enthusiasts and serious collectors alike. Every week we’ll be highlighting the top cars in need of a new home that caught our eye.
Few cars have achieved the level of American muscle icon quite like this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. It’s what pretty much anyone, car enthusiast or not, pictures in their mind when a classic muscle car is mentioned. This particular example from Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery has been kept surprisingly original, considering its age and the fact it obviously wasn’t immediately thrown into storage. Likely, it’s one the few Chevelles to have escaped a rotisserie treatment, yet isn’t left to rot in a rural field somewhere.
There are restorations, and then there are extensive frame-off, nut-and-bolt restorations. The former will give you a really nice classic car, while the latter will give you a vehicle that looks like it was built yesterday, which is the case with this beautiful 1980 Toyota FJ40 that will be up for auction in February through GAA Classic Cars.
There’s a lot to love about this 2013 Honda CB500XD. First of all, if you’re looking for an affordable used bike, the price of $4,190 is pretty nice. For that kind of cash you can’t expect perfection and you certainly won’t get it here. But you will get a motorcycle which looks stealthy and should be both fun as well as reliable.
